Many of the biggest names in
cyberspace, people that have made a real success of their interent
business, have a common background. They rose from the bottom up.
Joe Vitale, an internet mega-success, says he was broke, busted and
disgusted when he began his internet business.
Gavin Drake, the ebook millionaire, was bankrupt and forced to move
in with his parents when he started his internet business.
Pat O'Bryan, founder of the Portable Empire, was a blues guitarist
playing bars for pocket money when he embarked on his internet
adventure.
Why do so many internet successes come from barren or bankrupt
backgrounds? Why do people with not-so-successful pasts suddenly
break out on the internet into mega-successful futures? The answer
is simple.
These people all believed their lives were full of limits: limits to
what they could do, limits to how much they could earn. When they
were introduced to the internet, they saw an incredible reach of
opportunity opening up before them. They saw a field with no limits
to what they could do, no limits to how far they could go, no limits
to how much they could earn. They entered the internet fueled by
massive determination and unshakeable belief.
Each of them looked at the internet, saw people that had already
succeeded on-line, and said "I can do that! I WILL do that!"
This doesn't mean you must be failing in life off-line to be become
an on-line success. But you do have to find the triggers that push
you to take action. Failure can be a powerful motivation to reach
deep down inside and make personal changes. So can a profound desire
to help someone you love.
Look around inside your memory. Find times in the past when you've
been powerfully motivated to take action. Now find similar
compelling reasons in your present situation to push yourself toward
success. With fierce drive and determination, a successful internet
business is more than a dream. It's a destiny!
